“Don’t Worry Kerala”: AR Rahman Sings for Flood-victims in middle of his concert

The entire nation is standing united to provide aid to Kerala – which has gone through the most devastating floods the state has seen in nearly 100 years, leaving countless people stranded out on the roads; homeless, hungry and trying their best to survive.

As a number of Indian celebs have also come out with their donations and campaigns, A .R. Rahman has chosen to give tribute to the state in his own inimitable fashion.

The Oscar and Grammy winning composer was at a concert in the United States, when he changed lyrics to his hit song ‘Mustafa Mustafa’ to pass on some words of empathy for the troubled state.

“Kerala, Kerala…Don’t Worry Kerala” – as soon as Rahman started chanting the modified chorus, the crowd’s applause went louder as they too chimed-in to send a few prayers for everyone who’s been affected by the tragedy.

Watch:

Rahman, like most Indians, is keeping Keralites in his prayers as he wrote in a Tweet recently.

This too shall pass indeed. Stay strong Kerala!
