Munnabhai’s “Circuit” was definitely a career-changing role for Arshad Warsi – who, after a string of flops and sleazy low-budget endeavors, was on the verge of vanishing from Bollywood’s ever-so-inconsistent limelight.
But the actor’s appearance in the 2003-released iconic comedy-drama and his unforgettable and much-lauded performance in the role of the “hero’s best friend”, saved his career from drowning and turned it around overnight, quite literally.
His performance and image as the naive, silly and hilarious character has been etched in our heads so well that it is hard for us to imagine anyone else take on the role now. But an attempt to change that may soon take place.
As per reports and several inside sources, actor Warsi will be replaced by actor Ranbir Kapoor, who will now step-in the shoes of the beloved ‘Circuit’ in the third installment of the superhit series.
Warsi has previously seen this happen to him, when Akshay Kumar replaced him in the second installment of ‘Jolly LLB’, after the actor managed to bring much limelight and attention to the first part.
People online realize that and they are not willing to let-go off a portrayal that was so well executed by Warsi, that it needs no replacement.

Ranbir has a slight edge over Arshad – as Rajkumar Hirani, who directed the former on ‘Sanju’ is highly impressed by his acting-chops and is willing to work on him on all of his planned future endeavors – as he previously stated.
Hearing about the news, fans of the iconic series and of Warsi, were totally unimpressed and lashed out at both Ranbir and Hirani for ditching him out of the sequel.
