While ‘Race 3’ – like most Salman Khan flicks managed to ‘woo’ a significant portion of audiences who all contributed to its impressive 300+ crore gross at the box office, the movie did not fair that well in the ‘critics department.’
Soon after the release of the much-hyped action-thriller, it was met with various online jokes and puns taking a dig at it’s senseless dialogues, action-sequences and poor acting.
Anil Kapoor – who featured alongside Salman Khan in the Remo D’Souza directorial, recently spoke on the unfavorable reception of the flick and revealed that the only reason why he signed-on to do the movie, as ‘senseless’ as it may have seemed at that time, was because of the ‘money.’
The ‘Jhakkas’ actor did not mince his words while honestly confessing that it was purely ‘money’ that drove him to get-on-board the flick.
In an interview with Deccan Chronicle, Anil was quoted telling:
“Whenever I sign a film, I obviously think of the amount of money that it will fetch me. Acting is my profession, it earns me my daily bread and butter. If I do not give importance to earning enough money, how will I run my kitchen? My wife will never allow me into the house if I do not earn money, so it’s important to me.”

Anil isn’t the only one who’s made a ‘compromising’ professional choice to “keep-things-running”. A number of other talented stars have previously confessed to taking on ‘inevitably disastrous’ projects for monitory reasons alone!
Good for Anil to not beat around the bush and call it as it is.
