As expected, Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Sanju’ is setting box-office records upon its release and its only on its second day yet.
The Ranbir Kapoor starrer has registered an opening day collection of over 34 crores, becoming the biggest opener of the year so far – surpassing the likes of ‘Padmaavat’, ‘Baaghi 2’ and ‘Race 3.’
Not only that, the movie has given Ranbir his career-best first day collection – and with the extremely positive word of mouth and generally favorable critical reviews, the movie will only climb up during the weekend.

Based on the life of the controversial ‘Khalnayak’ of Bollywood – Sanjay Dutt, the movie chronicles the actor’s many up’s and down’s, and does not shy away from telling it all – from the drugs to the many sexual encounters, and of coarse, his infamous stint in jail after being in trouble with the law.

‘Sanju’ also stars amazing Manisha Koirala, along with Anushka Sharma, Jim Sarbh, Paresh Rawal, Sonam Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal in pivotal roles.
If the movie continues to retain the pace with which it has started at the box-office, it would officially become the highest grossing biopic in Bollywood history.
If the critics reviews are anything to go by, ‘Sanju’ is one flick you just cannot miss.
