After Deepika Padukone and Kangana Ranaut stunned fashion-critics back home with their extravagant dresses during the first week of this year’s Cannes film festival – Aishwarya Rai has stepped-in claim her throne as the most seasoned B-town red-carpet queen of the fest.
The former Miss World and actress, who’s has a longer and more consistent association with Cannes than any other B’wood celeb ever, debuted her first look from this year’s ceremony wearing a Michael Cinco-designed piece of pure art, the unique trail of which takes inspiration from ‘peacocks.’
The Dubai-based designer created a detailed pattern across the experimental gown with various shades of purple giving it a distinct look.

This is Aish’s 17th consecutive year of appearing at the fest, and although she’s had many a fashion-misses in the past, she has sure upped her game since the beginning.

The actress was later joined on the red carpet by her 6 year old daughter Aradhya, whose little red-dress contrasted with her mother’s outfit and made it even more beautiful.
