After many rumors and speculations going around in social media platforms, Irrfan finally released his statement and confirmed the state of his health and the details of his disease. The actor took B-town and his fans by storm after revealing that he suffers from Neuroendocrine Tumor – a rare condition resulting into the formation of cysts/tumors in various parts of the body.
The “Pan Singh Tomar” and “Life Of Pi” actor is now supposed to travel all the way to London – where he would immediately start the treatment for his ailment.
A few days after the revelation, Irrfan took to Instagram to share what is going on in his mind in this troubled time with the help of an inspiring piece of poetry by Bohemian-Austrian poet Rainer Maria Rilke.
Here is what he wrote:
God speaks to each of us as he makes us,
then walks with us silently out of the night.
These are the words we dimly hear:
You, sent out beyond your recall,
go to the limits of your longing.
Embody me.
Flare up like a flame
and make big shadows I can move in.
Let everything happen to you: beauty and terror.
Just keep going. No feeling is final.
Don’t let yourself lose me.
Nearby is the country they call life.
You will know it by its seriousness.

Earlier this week, when the National Award winner had shared the details of his disease and health on Twitter, several of his Bollywood co-stars, colleagues and fans came to pray for his speedy recovery and offer words of motivation:
