Lata Mangeshkar, who is regarded as one of the greatest voices in Indian contemporary music history has also never shied away from professing her love and patriotism for the nation – be it supporting Indian sports or consistently sending her well-wishes to the men-in-uniform, fighting for our nation.
The legendary songbird, who has lent her angelic voice to thousands of timeless melodies, recently shared a video dedicated to such men, who stand to guard our nation at the borders – and remain on duty, irrespective of all the festivities across the mainlands.
On the occasion of Diwali and Bhaidooj, the Bharat Ratan awardee sent her wishes to Indian soldiers, expressing her pride at what they do.
“agar bhartiya jawan hai, toh bharat desh hai; aur bharat desh hai, toh hum hai”
