Watch: 4-Year-Creation Of Statue Of Unity Fast-Forwarded to 1-Minute, In This ‘Time-Lapse’ Video

It took nearly 4 years to create PM Narendra Modi’s dream project – Status Of Unity, now standing tall as the biggest effigy in the world.

Built on a budget of nearly 3,500 crores, the Sardar Patel statue boasts of a height of 182 meters – and has managed to grab the attention of both national and international media outlets, who are now hopeful of it turning into one of the most prominent tourist spots of the state and the country.

But before it all came to fruition, a vast majority of us didn’t really get to witness it’s progress and how it was being built brick-by-brick by it’s dedicated staff and construction-workers, which included 250 engineers and 3,400 labourers . It was only when the statue neared it’s completion, that it received attention from national media outlets and people got to see it’s progress.

The footage uploaded by user Jagzap Deepak, manages to capture the 4 years progress of building the tall structure, in a fast-forwarded footage lasting only 1 minute.

The fascinating video showcases how the statue rose from the ground, in the middle of nowhere, and eventually stood tall as a future tourist hot-spot.
